30 DNR firefighters are working on Susies Lake wildfire along with 6 Halifax Fire & Emergency crew. DNR helicopters are waiting for fog to lift. New measured fire size is about 15 hectares. It's still out of control, so size could change. There will be updates throughout the day.

While the provincial burn ban is in place, use of consumer fireworks is prohibited across the municipality. However, permitted professional fireworks displays—such as those planned for Natal Day—will move forward as scheduled (dependent on conditions like wind, fog or rain).
