17.09.2025 06:10 β π 7720 π 2201 π¬ 239 π 333I know many people, particularly from London's diverse communities, are feeling extremely worried following the events this weekend. It takes me back to how I felt growing up in the β70s and β80s, when far-right political parties marched on our streets. The leaders of the far-right are once again attempting to hijack our flag, with minorities being intimidated and fear, hatred and division being sown. As Londoners, and as proud Brits, we must unite to reject the far-right β just as we have many times before. But itβs going to take a huge effort from us all β from people of all races and backgrounds, who are willing to stand up for our British values of equality, inclusion and mutual respect. As Mayor, I'll continue to do everything I can to challenge the far-right and all those who peddle the politics of fear and division. I urge other politicians and Londoners to do the same. MAYOR OF LONDON, SADIQ KHAN
We must unite against those who seek to divide us.

12.08.2025 12:18 β π 266 π 54 π¬ 13 π 8Last week was London's biggest ever (and bestest) #LondonDataWeek. The perfect time for us to launch the new Data for London Library. Here's what it's about:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQ1K...
dfl.london.gov.uk/library is a cool evolution of the London Datastore - allowing teams to signal what data exists, even if itβs not ready to share or to release in full. That visibility helps others discover, understand, and plan around the cityβs data assets.

π Data delivers real change for Londoners
The new Data for London Library builds on 15 years of impact:
π« Air quality alerts
π NetZero programmes
π€ Rough sleeping insights
πͺ house-building and planning
When data is discoverable, services improve #innovation 2/5
π@london.gov.uk just launched something big for city #data & urban #AI - the Data for London Library - transforming city data to improve public services.
β
5,100+ datasets
β
Connects (not collects) public bodies & gvt datasets

Good news for accessibility in London. The free Snowball appβdescribed as βTripAdvisor for the disabled communityββnow integrates TfLβs step-free station data, making it easier for disabled people to travel independently.
A more inclusive capital for everyone.
A UK-EU youth mobility scheme would make it easier for the Government to fulfil its growth ambitions.
I wrote for LBC on why Iβve long urged the Prime Minister and British negotiators to pull out all the stops to get it over the line.

Nearly two-thirds of Londonβs CO2 emissions come from buildings, with domestic buildings account for 32% of emissions. Great news Β£10m investment For London's cultural and creative industries
Londonβs creative industries help make our city the greatest in the world. I want London to grow and thrive over the next decadeβthey have a central role to play.
Weβre investing Β£10m in fashion, design, film and gaming to keep our capital at the forefront of these industries.
Today Iβve announced a new Β£6m fund to help organisations continue their life-changing work with some of the most vulnerable people experiencing domestic abuse.
It will ensure victims and survivors of domestic abuse in safe accommodation get the specialist support they need.
Despite caseloads growing, domestic abuse support groups are struggling to survive due to the cost-of-living crisis and years of underfunding from the previous government.
Iβm working with partners to fund vital support services for thousands of domestic abuse survivors.
Due to the sudden drop in temperature, I am activating SWEP in partnership with London boroughs.
Emergency accommodation will be open to anyone sleeping rough. If you see someone sleeping rough, alert Street Link and help them out of the cold.
