My Telco forced me to upgrade to fibre, they killed copper. My DSL was reliable at the top end of the spec, and don't really stream 4k so never bothered. Got 10x faster for same price, but don't notice much difference day to day.

Anybody use wire?

Some non US gov types use it that I know. Signal still in US and has to obey laws there.

My library uses overdrive, and Kobo has a version that connects their eReader directly, without a computer. Occasionally there are ebooks that fail, and are only readable via their newer app, or via browser. Not my eReader.

Our high school had a PDP 8. Fed it cards marked with pencil. Did have 3 terminals and a PAPER tape drive. There were physical switches on the front, that you set the individual bits to input the cold start routine... Paper based space war!! "Updated" to Pets and Apples before I left.
