Yeah for sure. The Luigi one has to be my favourite so far, his expression there is just great.

Probably not to be honest. Mario sports games don’t appeal to me that much, and the price is way too high for a game I may not enjoy playing.

Honestly they could probably make Rayman Redemption official and call it a day. That seems like the definitive HD version of the original Rayman game:

Gotta agree with this. They didn’t do as much to improve Super Mario World, but those versions of Super Mario Bros 2, Yoshi’s Island and Super Mario Bros 3 feel like the definitive ones to me.

What do you hope to see?

Generally people need to realise that a successful game selling over 5 million copies is surprisingly rare, and over 10 million is usually insane.

It’s also likely to keep selling for a long time given it’s remained in the charts since launch.

Oh hey I remember Yoshi on the original Game Boy. Known as Mario & Yoshi here in the UK, it was one of my most disappointing purchases back in the day. It’s not a bad game, just a very serviceable puzzle game without the addictiveness of Tetris.

Balloon Kid looks interesting though.

Hmm this was a tough choice. But gonna say Color Splash because it’s a fun time, and a game with a lot of charm. Great writing too.

Just came out at the worst possible time on the worst possible system.

Those look really cool. Would love to one day see some of these artists use their designs for a fan game or mod in those styles.

Have to admit, I’m kinda surprised they were still going in some form. After Mighty No 9, the only thing I recall them doing was the odd bit of support work.

It’s been 5 years? That’s absolutely crazy dedication right there. Your art is always fun to see though, so I guess that’s the silver lining to the lack of new Wario Land games at the moment.

Here’s hoping the trend breaks in 2026, and Wario gets another adventure at last.

Also damn this game was dark for a Mario title. The Shroobs were utterly ruthless.

Honestly you should just give it a go. You never know how your work will be received unless you share it, and you’ll get better at making videos the more of them you make.

Also may as well try both types of videos. Yeah YouTube prefers consistency, but it’s more fun to do what you care about.

Seems plausible. Both are popular first party GameCube titles and both relate heavily to games available on the Switch/Switch 2.

Glad to see this game doing fairly well for itself. Not the most exciting Switch 2 game, but it’s a fun time, and a nice upgrade from Age of Calamity in many ways.

This seems like the basis for some very interesting fan theories about the Mario universe.

Then there’s Majora’s Mask, where time management is basically the whole game.

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are funny examples of this side quest stuff though. You could spend years with the villain being on the cusp of doing something, but not actually going through with it.

I do kinda wonder how all this will got together. We’ve got tons of different plot elements here (space travel, Bowser Jr, Yoshi, Baby Mario/Luigi, the SMB2 fight, etc) and I’m curious how it’ll all fit into a consistent movie.

Damn who’d have expected to see Mouser and Clawgrip in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie? Not me, that’s for sure!

Yeah I do kinda feel similarly. The Koopaling fights look good, Rosalina as a playable character is neat and the new power up could be interesting, but it definitely feels more multiplayer focused overall. Like that ScreamPark mode for Luigi’s Mansion 3.
