100% agree. The blind panic I felt as my book's opening weeks came to a close. I felt like I hadn't done enough, and now I'd never have a chance. Even though it's gonna be out for like a million more years.

Things that, in an earlier era, would get you called a bad writer now throw your humanity into question. And to be clear, I think this is good! It's just wild to see people caring this much about a thing I've spent my whole life trying to optimize, but for such an insane sci-fi reason.
