So thrilled to see our pre-print online. This was an incredible team effort and I am so proud to have been part of this amazing study, special thanks goes to @nickywhiffin.bsky.social and @gregfindlay.bsky.social for their mentorship. Go check-out Nicky's thread hereunder:

TL;DR: Brain morphometry at 64mT (= 0.064T) is very much feasible. Perhaps most interesting is the fact that the dataset -> ~ T1w & T2w scans x (4 resolutions x 2 Hyperfine Swoop 64 mT scanners + GE 3T scanner) x 23 adult participants = 390 scans -> is openly available: openneuro.org/datasets/ds0...

Hi world - its been a hard year with #cancer meaning I missed out lots of fun things. It would mean a lot if you checked out my new album of tracks. Out on all platforms including #Soundcloud (free). Let me know which tracks you like and a special prize if you work out the two levels to the project

For years we have tended to discount activation signals in the white matter as artifact. It's becoming clear now that this was a mistake - white matter shows stimulus-driven activation similar (though much smaller) to gray matter. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37824529/
