We did it all for the rookies.
14.07.2025 17:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It so close to being a positive weekend, but ended up with a double DNF.
13.07.2025 18:16 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That wasβ¦ a day.
12.07.2025 18:18 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thereβs a storm coming (an actual one with potential red flag implications during the scheduled race time).
11.07.2025 19:07 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Preparation for the Berlin ePrix underway, including a paddock evacuation for a lightning storm.

09.07.2025 15:04 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That is such a lovely thing to write, Victoria. Thank you.
Iβve always felt like I lucked out, and have been riding that wave ever since. I know some day itβll reach the shore, but Iβll always appreciate the journey Iβve had.
They wonβt sell it, but they also wonβt fund it, so itβs stuck in purgatory until either the hosting expires or they decide to relaunch the NFS brand in the future and bring it back.
It was alive (or thereabouts) for 18 years, which is a remarkable run in the online space.
I donβt envy anyone working in that field, although Iβm sure there are wonderful communities out there as well.
Reading some of the discussion around the Switch 2 at the moment is baffling. Itβs like people have lost all rational thought / refuse to accept people can like different things.
Iβve been dipping into gaming again recently, and oh my had I forgotten how wild and toxic it is. Makes car culture seem completely sane by comparison.
17.06.2025 08:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0On a break at the moment with family in the south of Spain, our first trip abroad together since our daughter was born.
Really appreciating this time off in between the mayhem of travelling & work, and grateful to be able to enjoy it.
Itβs all gone a bit mad, hasnβt it?
14.06.2025 10:12 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's finally race week again. Next stop, Miami.

Climate Stripes, which highlight the progressive heating of our planet from blue to red, sit atop a muted photograph of the opening lap of the 2025 Mexico City ePrix. Racecars can be seen tackling the stadium section of the circuit, in front of a capacity crowd. The only hint of colour is the green Envision Racing Gen3 Evo of Sebastian Buemi in the foreground.
Iβve wanted to incorporate @edhawkins.org Climate Stripes into some of Envision Racingβs photography for a while. The stripes here represent the progressive heating of our planet from 1850 to 2024.
I hope to create a series of these based on our 2025 travels.

The open plains of the Wicklow Mountains, photographed into strong sunlight. The land is mostly silhouetted, with grass and vegetation just visible in the foreground.
Sometimes, itβs hard to call what I do work.

The yellow & blue Formula E racecar of Lola Yamaha can be seen on track with trees and a clean industrial building in the background. Itβs a wide shot, with the car framed by a guardrail in the foreground.
A pack of Formula E racecars are seen racing away from the camera. The car closest to the camera is out of focus, while the cars further along in the pack are sharp.
The leading trio of cars photographed head on through the penultimate corner. The cars are framed through an opening in the catch fence designed for track marshalls.
The purple Porsche of Antonio Felix Dacosta photographed from overhead as he accelerates underneath the camera. A strong shadow from the front nose cone is cast on the ground in front of the car.
While waiting for the green cars to come around, I have to stay occupied somehow.

My knees still hurt from it π
11.12.2024 18:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Random observation that last season's pole position time at the SΓ£o Paulo ePrix was almost 0.5s slower than this weekend's slowest qualifying time set in the Gen3 Evo. Wild.

That was a wild, wild race. Remember that racecar backwards might still be racecar, but racecar upside down is expensive.
Driver okay, medical & extrication crews stepped up when needed as they always do in #FormulaE
Theyβve now blocked me, but please report / block / ignore anything coming from that account.
07.12.2024 08:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just as a heads up to everyone, this isnβt Jake Dennis. Itβs a fake account impersonating him and will message you asking to talk about a proposal.
Jake & Andretti are already aware of it.

Curious if today is a sign of things to come this weekend, searing sunshine followed by heavy thunderstorms. Good thing we have AWD to play with this seasonβ¦

04.12.2024 18:59 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve done about half that, and itβs been brutal. I donβt think people realise how tough that much long haul travel can be. Enjoy the holiday!

02.12.2024 13:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Out of sheer coincidence, I've listened to two podcasts recently on Death Doulas. It might sound grim, but it's a fascinating subject and one which we all have to face.
First was on @davidfarrier.bsky.social Flightless Bird, and the second was @blindboyboatclub.bsky.social most recent episode.

Having never been to South America before this year, this is my second trip to Brazil in 9 months. I'm looking forward to experiencing hot rain for the week. #FormulaE
I forgot that I'm about to re-enter the world of 'what power adapter do I need this week?' for the next eight months.
