I also believe that "we all deserve to die" is also very much part of the mindset. We all deserve to suffer and die, unless we can make ourselves the ones causing the suffering and death.

There's a line in Sweeney Todd that I always think about when it comes to conservatives.

And that's how they see it

Hypocrisy is the foundation of all conservatism. They WANT unfair treatment. They want a safe perch from which to observe their fellow man being swallowed up by machinery.

It does no good to point it out if we’re not talking about why that hypocrisy hurts EVERYONE, not just the intended victims.
