Do up down left right all call the same follow logic? Are you calculating in degrees and it's getting a funky 0.0001 degree when it goes up? Does it think the player is still in the way and is pathing to avoid collision? That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

If you're a solo dev or small indie, you can't expect to be the best at everything. As long as you can put your ego aside and understand which advice to take and which to ignore (and build up a network of people who are willing to give advice!) then you'll be in a strong position imo.

UI is the absolute worst. I've never found any software that handles it gracefully.

Wait until you design for 2k, 4k, ultra wide, super ultra wide etc. just the pits

I do exactly the same thing! She loves Disneyland adventures so she plays that on one screen while I'm on the other.

When you have a family and a full time job, any progress no matter how minor is a huge win!

This hits home. I think the question is what you're trying to achieve right? If you're looking to make money, then get some play testers and see if they have fun. If not, move on. If you're looking to learn, then stick with it, remove as many features as possible, then polish and ship it super fast?
