I've been getting into unit tests with Godot recently. It's very satisfying to be able to check all the logic clearly like this. I've not done any code testing in absolutely ages and it feels kind of rare and special within game dev.

If AI still isn’t good enough to be a tool for state oppression, then what’s it really good for?

I do sort of think this is a sign of the end of the AI bubble. They were happy to lie through their teeth about what happened but there was no ai-generated video “evidence” to counter the real videos. You know they absolutely would have used it if it had been at all plausible.
