Henrietta came into the store today. She was born in Palestine and asked me if I had any maps of the region. She told me about living in Bethlehem and Jerusalem and going on a motorcycle ride from Damascus to Istanbul. We got to travel together briefly with this 1946 map from National Geographic.

Guy in the store this AM said he liked Elon's work. I put a hand on his shoulder and told him I have veterans in my family who are furious/terrified about the VA getting gutted.
He just smiled incredulously.
I was vibrating with rage. I'm proud of myself for saying something calmly and walking away.
