I hope one day this changes! I view those of you who have gotten since the pandemic (no matter the cause!) to be my allies. Maybe one day there will be so much research to go around there wouldn’t be so many barriers between those of us who got it in different ways.

I didn’t feel threatened by the LC folks joining my community but I have seen people talk like that before. One time someone with LC online got mad at me because I think they were newly ill and didn’t know they weren’t necessarily gonna get much better. I wish we could all get along!

I have ME and had it before the pandemic. I’m sorry you’ve gotten this reception. I do find it interesting though to see the interaction between the two communities. It’s wild to me because as someone with ME, as sad as I was that more people have it, I was hopeful for more research.
