Well the store that was targeted by his fans was run by a queer person.
I finally found one of the TikTok creators who got me interested in this whole debacle:

I personally call bull on his claims and call bull on it being a “homophobic” book ban

He never showed evidence for his claims, and given that that particular indie bookstore was very likely run by a queer person themselves (if the bookstore identified on TikTok is truly that store), plus given that another queer author reached out to the store and heard a totally different story 1/

This isnt the definition of a book ban I learned & developed. Plus this isn’t at all what happene in this case. The bookstore didn’t carry the books due to not agree with the message. He tried to wholesale 100+ books to an Indie bookstore and tha simply not what they can afford

Again: Please do some research before posting this stuff. Other Queer, marginalised authors have made excellent videos on TikTok e.g., receipts inc that he’s indeed playing the victim, that a lot of his claims are false, etc. Laura’s vi is clearly an extension of these videos
