30.10.2025 19:21 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The Crow is an astonishing movie. The script is a pure mess and the tone swings wildly between action comedy and dark thriller. But somehow it all stays together with pure vibes and aesthetic. The casting alone was an incredible slam dunk.
30.10.2025 15:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh damn, that's a wonderful piece! Nausicaรค is my favorite movie, always glad to see peoples' interpretations on it.
29.10.2025 11:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I just started a TTRPG club at work, and ten people signed up! Out of 70 or so people, that's a pretty good percentage.

I think firearms are facinating mechanisms. They are almost entirely non-electronic devices relying on pure physical mechanics to operate due to their unique constraints, like that they're powered by literal explosions and have to be supremely reliable.
16.10.2025 12:06 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think it has to be Mothership that really showed me how great products indie ttrpg creators are making.
13.10.2025 17:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Fallout ending slides really defined the concept of "your actions matter in the narrative" to me at a very young age.
10.10.2025 19:26 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I remember when Escapist did those weekly issues, like a magazine? It was great, I read most articles without having to worry about missing anything. Add in pioneering video series like ZP, and The Escapist was a genuinely good site. Horrible to see how far down they have fallen.
03.10.2025 17:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My books and swag arrived a few weeks ago, and I gotta say they're gorgeous.
03.10.2025 17:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Honestly had to take a double take, at first I thought it was some upscaled version of a random room in FF7 ๐

The Japanese Mario 64 official strategy guide is an incredible thing. "Can we make little hand-made dioramas of all the levels?" "Sure, why the hell not."
03.10.2025 11:29 โ ๐ 6951 ๐ 1975 ๐ฌ 14 ๐ 76SUMMER ETERNAL is the most interesting phoenix chick wriggling from the ashes of ZA/UM. Highly ambitious and guided by actual values. Very interested in seeing how this project develops. So far they already got my money by exploiting my insatiable need for pretty books.

30.09.2025 10:41 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Can't wait to get my hands on the Founder's Edition, SS1 is looking to be a crown jewel in my gaming collection.
29.09.2025 09:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Cultivating an image of kayfabe scary GM can be very cool, and keep the players on their toes, without actually being a cruel asshole.
26.09.2025 16:46 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Setting a tone for the game is all about how you implement the kayfabe. How far to take consequences of failure? How tight you turn the screw on the players? A practical example is the stress and panic system in Mothership. How much stress, how often you call for panic checks?
26.09.2025 16:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Question is, is it just an another source of feedback for refining my writing, or is it a crutch to patch over my bad habits?
26.09.2025 16:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0There is a fine line to walk through. It keeps rewriting whole paragraphs for me, and I have to constantly rein it in to keep my own voice intact in the text. On the other hand, as a non-native speaker writing in English, the turbo-thesaurus mode of using it has been very useful.
26.09.2025 16:39 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Might alienate some people, but I decided that the despicable machine minds are here to stay, and I might aswell learn how they work and what they're useful for. So far in my creative writing project ChatGPT has acted as a proofreader, pointing out typos, grammar and repetition.
26.09.2025 16:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0One of the ways in which a GM does have power is that you can pick and choose what parts of GMing you want to prioritise and downplay and then find both a game and a group of players that works with that..
26.09.2025 14:44 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Do you want them to succeed? Do you want them to struggle? Often both, since struggle followed by success feels somehow satisfying, but to what extent? What about failure? Ultimately I just end up going with what feels cool and right, but it's difficult to codify that into any coherent statement.
26.09.2025 16:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thing is, especially with NPCs, the 'impartial referee' stance gets you only so far. Eventually you'll have to make a judgement based on vibes, rather than simple chains of action-consequence. And in those moments, you have to decide on an attitude towards the PCs.
26.09.2025 16:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I think a lot about how to put into words my style of running games. I feel my role is to come up with interesting complications for the characters to face, and then adjucate their actions with as much logical reasoning as possible.
26.09.2025 16:15 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh shit shit shit. Chapter 1 finished, and it's veering quickly towards *emotionally complex highly stylized erotically supercharged genre fiction*. Goddamn I wanted porn and gore, damn my creative instincts!
