This month we'll be dedicating our mini collab to James Cathcart, who passed from throat cancer earlier this July. In his honor, we'll be drawing Meowths and raising money for the American Cancer Society!

My drawing of Shoemon (Digimon)! A cute little mouse-like plush creature with a living shoe companion that it sits in, brandishing a needle and thread like a little sword!

My drawing of Pulsemon (Digimon)! A spiky yellow creature with black zig-zag stripes, green highlights, cool claw shoes and a piece of hair(?) that looks like a white bolt sticking out from its forehead!

Digimon Time Stranger is coming out soon and my friends and I are all pretty hyped up for it!

A quick shaded drawing I did of Malamar (Pokemon) on a whim! A squid-like creature with an upside down body structure, purple and magenta in color mostly, with glowing yellow patterns on their body. Their main two tentacles are forming a heart in front of them, because Malamar is everyone’s friend :)

You know, I’ve never drawn them before, but I just…had the unexplainable urge to do a quick drawing of my friend Malamar.

Whimside had its full release recently!!! I adore this game, probably my favorite idle game I’ve played! :) I highly recommend it.

Quaragami, Psychie of Doubt. Quaragami is an oragami dragon with a decision maker for a head. It consists of four colours of blue, yellow, green and pink with markings of ones and zeroes across its face. Whenever it is confused about something, Quaragami will open and close its mouth in random directions until it comes up with an idea. This goes on for quite some time and regularly leaves it folded and crumpled.

This was super fun! Decided to get a bit experimental with mine this time, lol.
I took a color from each vee and labeled them all by dex order, and colored an eevee with it all!
Mane floof is colored in dex order, paws are in groups/pairs, and the eyes/inner ears are eevee colored!

Oh I could cry, perfection ✨

My illustrated character design, dubbed “The Dancing Dark”. A humanoid being with a “face” and “hair” made of shadows leaking out from their big hat and parts of their snazzy suit. Instead of a tailcoat they have 4 floating panels attached to their waist that resemble butterfly wings. Besides the wide brim hat and suit top, they also have on vertically striped pants, pointy dress shoes, and white gloves (that also show they may have claws as well). Their tie and earrings are designed to look like the chrysalis of a butterfly. They are surrounded by butterfly-like entities that use their wings and antennae to emote like sets of eyes (should I call them Butterfl-eyes?)

Some sketch notes for my character design, “The Dancing Dark”. Shows that they can move/manipulate the “wings” attached to their suit, and also make the blue shapes inside of them into any image they want. Also shows that their face IS the shadows that flow down from their hat, creating a place for their eyes and nose to lie, and also creating their smile. There are also examples of how much they can manipulate their face to express stuff, changing from a spooky streaky face, to a butterfly, to a sort of cocky grin

Character design I made a bit ago that I’m pretty proud of! A trickster fey lord-ish being called “The Dancing Dark”, made to represent the fear of the unknown.
The chrysalis/butterfly motifs = fear of change, the shadow ones = fear of the dark. Both are also fears of the unknown :)

A square page of doodles I’ve done of Tenna from Deltarune! It’s mostly assorted expressions of his (flower nose, getting communications from his antenna and telling his employees to “make the air holes BIGGER”, looking confused about lancer, jumping up into the splits to do his star attack from his boss fight, some unhinges smiles and a side profile). The ones of note are: -a full-body drawing of him looking confident, holding a microphone on the left of the page -In the middle, him holding a mug that clearly used to say “World’s Best Dad” on it, but now has “TV” hastily scrawled on tape over the “Dad” part. Tenna says “Oh, Kris…! This is so sweet! You DO like me!” While wiping away a tear from his non-visible eye. Kris is in the back giving a thumbs up next to the SOUL, with a label that says “[SOUL made them do this.]” -And in the bottom right are two doodles, one of Tenna squeezing Spamton with both hands like he’s gonna shake him around, going “Gonna strangle this little FREAK”, and the next one being Spamton’s retaliation, jumping out of his hands and biting down on his nose with a [*CRUNCH*] while Tenna screams.

Started off as an excuse to try and practice drawing hands and to try out new pencil brushes, but I had so much fun drawing him that I just filled the whole page, lol.
