Capitulation: RAINN, NSVRC, and NCMEC Remove Nearly All Mentions of Trans and Nonbinary People Three sexual abuse nonprofits have removed all or nearly all mentions of trans people from their blogs and articles. All three receive federal funding, but are independent organizations.

In February, @madycast.com reported that some sexual violence nonprofits had quietly erased trans victims of abuse from their websites, out of fear of Trump.

The story went viral and was picked up by other outlets. One org restored resources, and told us that our reporting spurred the reversal.

Especially with the Slumber Island feature, it would've been cool if Cece and Viche had stayed the same and new characters based on the other idols were introduced—that way you could practically design a whole Splatoon-themed island!

I will admit that the Splatoon collab with Animal Crossing feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. Cece and Viche coming back is kind of cool but updating their looks to Shiver and Frye means we probably aren't getting new Splatoon themed characters based on the other idols.

The new LEGO items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are honestly really well done, I can see myself using these! The Plum Blossom is so cute!

And that Classic Space rug! 🙌

The Switch 2 expansion seems mostly inessential but if I'm going to be playing again and it's cheap I might as well get it just to have the game looking as good as possible.

The hotel feature is a nice opportunity to bring other past characters in, just another customization-friendly feature like the Happy Home Paradise expansion, but maybe with more impact on your island itself (like hotel visitors being able to roam your island freely).

The collabs sound good—Splatoon and Zelda collabs have been done before but the Lego collab seems laser-targeted at me! And the return of other general Nintendo-themed items like in New Leaf is nice too.

And the slumber island feature seems like a great option for creative island design—allowing you to redesign an island for others to visit without having to wait around for construction or worry about whether your creative vision will be convenient for day-to-day gameplay.

A lot of the new features seem really handy. The Resetti cleanup option will be great especially for players like me who have been away from the game for a while. Being able to store flowers, shrubs, and trees is huge.

What do you MEAN another major Animal Crossing: New Horizons update is on the way? I've been away from the game for a while but am excited for this!
