Layoffs wreck studios. Institutional knowledge is SO valuable in the games industry. When you eventually replace that laid off employee, I don’t care if they’ve got 30 years of experience and dozens of games under their belt. They still have to learn the pipeline, the software, the systems.

From a viewer standpoint, Ublock and using Firefox are how best to deal with ads on all sorts of platforms. Ublock even works on your phone as a firefox extension!

You can pause it btw if you want to give folks ad revenue but a patreon/ko-fi donation for creators often works!

I did this last night, and literally this morning a friend who writes fic has had her whole account restricted, and when I try to access writing that I've edited/collaborated on, this is what I get:
