04.11.2025 17:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Right. I'd have to read about it. Like, was it just making sure the password wasn't "admin" or more like setting up some robust encryption just for him?

02.11.2025 20:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There was never any beef between Bush and Obama, they never ran one versus the other.
Michelle Obama would just sit quietly at all those occasions next to Bush and not talk until one day she asked him for candy because she had a cough. He's been bringing her candy every time ever since.
Of course he's lying the whole time...

Absolutely incredible that Ontario, not Canada, brought up an ad featuring the grand daddy of all American conservatives, Ronald Reagan, that the Reagan Foundation cries foul at using a "free for use" excerpt, and that Trump calls it fake. This is madness.
Interesting how the cross section of:
Trump voters who get shat on by Trump
and
people who say they are for the Second Amendment *in case the government becomes tyrannical* but aren't doing anything about it
are getting closer and closer to a full circle.
My head canon about that episode is that hearing the tour guide overwhelmed him and precipitated his suicide... π₯
22.10.2025 11:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0While we're in the domain of fantasy, here are hypothetical reactions to similar hypothetical protests
Biden: Folks, I get it. I hear the complaints. Here's how we can move forward.
Obama: Your voices... haven't fallen on deaf ears. We hear you... let's cooperate to make things better for everyone.
A good proportion of them are too-far-gone, absolute assholes. The rest were sold on empty promises out of desperation. Using immigrants, with or without a legal status, as scapegoats for all the ills of American society worked too well as the article source of "what's wrong."

17.10.2025 23:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Finally, finally, finally saw the new Superman movie.
I'm glad that DC finally realized that embracing the campy side of superheroes works just as well, if not better, than the dark, broody style of the previous DCU movies.
I'm also glad they added some less-than-perfect, non A-listers heroes.
This one is superb. She actually found a proper use for the theremin!

Mad World
Season 3: Continues with the space anomaly at the end of season 2. Borg v. Borg fight. Skip to 6 months after, mostly the same story. More Shaw, more La Forge kids. Not sure about Data... There would have to be a better way than another Golem...
11.10.2025 00:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If it was up to me, here's what I would have changed:
Season 1: Picard is still his rigid old self with some signs of dementia, until he's cured, not Golemed. Also, no ripping off Dune and Mass Effect.
Season 2: Probably my favorite in retrospect. Only no Soji, no kiss with Laris, no past Laris.
Troi was the least changed, and that's sad, because her character actually evolved on TNG.
Beverly changed for the better. I think we can see her yearning for more and the idea of a futuristic doctor without borders made sense.
Worf's changes worked for him. He's wiser.
Data was just shoehorned
If I was to criticize Picard seasons 1 through 3, this would be my main problem:
The characters didn't evolve, they just changed. Picard isn't rigid, he's in constant awe. Riker isn't cool under pressure, he's angry and bitter. Geordi isn't a cool nerd, he's authoritarian.
