Nope, but there was a prequel in the 1978 annual (White Fury) and cameos in other stories (but which are set so much later that they can't be the same bear).

Gotta be better than foxes screeching in the middle of the night (I like foxes, but they're pretty noisy when they're doing their murdered-baby-scream impressions).

I keep getting that as well - one person made a post about not having to work again for the rest of the year, but as I saw that three days in to 2024 it didn't have quite the same resonance as the last day of 2023...
