Turnip is being a bit clingy as the weather has turned. That said she was AWOL until 22:30 yesterday which freaked us out and had me doing circuits of the neighbourhood with a bag of cat treats. Nothing makes you realise how daft your cat's name is like having to shout it whilst out alone after dark

I don't recall seeing an Uzbek stamp on my collection. I'm rather lacking in stamps from that entire region

Austria, 1920.
I do love an over-print.
This one was for the Carinthia referendum held to decide if the area should join the fledgling Yugoslavia or remain as part of Austria. Despite 70% of the population speaking Slovene 59% voted to stay in Austria. Still Austria now.

I've also seen a couple of awful AI images depicting her painting the St George's cross on mini roundabouts as if somehow she didn't dedicate the latter part of her life to causes in Africa and wasn't dating an Arabic chap so was probably, you know, not down with xenophobia.

Bit late with stamp of the week but became inspired today noticing several posts mentioning the queen of hearts on the 28th anniversary of her death on the 31st. I'd assumed it was a rounder number given the number of posts but hey.

I've spent the last week and a bit knee deep in Dwarf Fortress. It is one of the most ridiculous games of all time. I love the gem mining and the random crap the game throws at you. I recently had a wereskink infestation. 'fun' ensued obvs.

Stamp of the week, late as I was waiting til after the vibrator decorating contest so I didn't spoil the reveal. Yes I know it's shit kerning and stuff but the rainbow was nice to do

It's been a brilliant day.

I divided them into topics then went though an online catalogue one topic at a time putting them into 5 year envelopes. When they're all done I'll go through the catalogue with each envelope and shove them into a stock book in chronological order

Ah Japanese stamps are so hard to sort. I've still not finished going through my lot. No Chinese or Korean stamps in there for a change :)
