Just released a new terrain tutorial video (though it's a bit light on the tutorial part TBH - as there's not much to it ;) ).

Anyway, as I say in the video, they'll be useful additions to my existing 2D tile set (as seen in the 2nd pic).

A pile of accessories that I'll be using in tomorrow's RPG session.

Just finished some last minute prep for a #ttrpg at a friends house tomorrow… and that will have to do I suppose 😬

(note the chocolate box actually contains a bunch of scatter terrain to liven up my scrawls on the #paizo flip mat that I'll be using 😅)

It's also my first ever game of #shadowdark 😲

Did some playtesting with my solo/random dungeon tiles, cards, and tokens again tonight…

…and this time the party survived to tell the tale... YAY!

(this was a game of #advancedheroquest - but the idea is that they can be used for any system)

Played a custom scenario of #advancedheroquest last night to re-familiarize myself with the rules (I laid out some tiles in advance, and used something similar to the guidelines for playing on the original HQ board).

Things started well - but quickly went downhill upon discovering the quest room 😅

Yeah. I've pretty much switched to using 2mm thick mdf bases for all of my models... as they come in so many shapes and sizes that I can just pick whatever I think suits the model best (plus it means everything has a consistent look :) ).

Managed to get this #skaven jezzail team done for #advancedheroquest

It's a newer model (rather than the classic one that's featured in the rulebook), and I had to shorten the barrel somewhat to make it better fit a 25x50mm base…

…but it should work well enough 🙂

Here's hoping it proves popular (though, even if it doesn't, I'll still have some cool 'travel dungeon' terrain :) ).

Update on my next dungeon-in-a-box…

When laying out the pdf, I was left with spaces where I could squeeze in a few 2x2 tiles… so that's what I've done (I've also shared a pic of the layout of the pdf too).

And now all of the artwork is done, it's time to start thinking about filming the video :)

There's still a bit more to do/add... but it's finally starting to come together.

Here's a quick update on the next dungeon-in-a-box (the 2" high raised section is the bottom of the box itself).

There's still a lot more to do (including making the lid - which will be similar, but only 1" high)... but assembly has paused as I've run out of glue... Doh!

I have limited access to an FDM printer too - but, for some reason, it would seem that I still dislike painting large terrain* pieces... as you can probably tell from my continued 'print & paste' efforts 😅

(*though I love painting miniatures... I'm just weird like that I guess)

For my next project/video I'll be making another dungeon-in-a-box :)

However, rather than being something designed to go along with a specific adventure, this time the box will just contain a variety of modular tiles (and things like that).

They don't I'm afraid. I just used the sci-fi (firefight) list builder (using the 'human defence force' faction), and made sure to not take anything inappropriate.

Finished up a little 250pt force of (early war) WW2 British using the @onepagerules.bsky.social 'firefight' rules and a couple of sprues from @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social (which are really nice models BTW :) ).

Painted up my first batch of BEF models from @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social I'll probably add a few grass tufts once the bases are fully dry, and I have to say, they were fun models to paint :)
