What am I grateful to my body for?
Find answers that have nothing to do with appearance.
Put 1 hand on your heart and 1 on your lower abdomen, and genuinely give thanks to your body. Feel how it responds.
#questionoftheweek #bodyimage #mindbodyconnection #mentalhealth #wellness #psych #newyearnewme #selfimprovement #selfacceptance
Just like any complex disorder, the symptom is just the tip of the iceberg.
You will never take it down by only focusing on its tip, you must swim down to the base and disarm it there with love, acceptance, and our bodiesβ natural healing processes
βThe centre of the universe really does exist within the gut, India and the Chinese have known this for thousands of years and we are only now just discovering itβ
~ Tim Spector
5. #Reset Tips
- Aim to eat 30 plants (nuts, fruits, and vegetables) per week for a #healthy gut microbiome
- Sip warm water with ginger, fennel or cumin to rekindle digestion.
- Focus on eating well-cooked foods, taking some deep breaths before meals, and chewing slowly and well.
4. #Spirit: Donβt forget what season youβre in
Just because it's a #newbeginning on paper doesn't mean your body has entered #Springtime Mode.
Weβre still in the heart of #winter, and your body is still in #hibernation
Clear old energies if you want, but keep resting until the spring equinox.
3. Heart: Be aware of how what you eat impacts how you feel
Rich, sugary foods disrupt gut bacteria & affect mood
Your gut is your second brain, so a healthy gut supports emotional well-being
In Ayurveda, indulgences can weaken your Agni (digestive fire), leading to physical and emotional heaviness
2. #Body: Donβt over-compensate
You might get bombarded online with crash #diets or extreme #workouts, but this is not the solution. Going to opposite extremes will just keep the pendulum swinging indefinitely.
Your body needs #balance, not punishment.
1. Donβt feel guilty
Overeating happens to us all, & a couple weeks of over-indulgence doesnβt define you
Treat your body with kindness - don't tie its worth to how it looks but what it does for you. Thank it for carrying you where you need to go, allowing you to dance, and to cuddle your loved ones
5. Hot chocolate - open the #heartchakra, turn up the serotonin, and get cosy.
What are your go-tos when you want to get out of a bad mood?
#mentalhealth #emotions #processing #badmood #feelgood #psychology #psychologytips #therapy
4. Take my meds. I have #ADHD and I donβt take meds every day, in fact I rarely take them. But an overall natural approach and daily norms of #holistic treatment for your condition doesnβt mean you shouldnβt allow yourself to enjoy modern #medicine when you have the option.

3. Get moving. A nice #stretch, some #yoga, or even a brisk walk in #nature can really get you back into your body, blood flowing, and energy up. Sometimes #grumpiness is really just #sluggishness.
4/6
2. Sad #music - It wonβt work for everyone, but for me letting myself sink into the sadness helps me recharge my #energy, liberate the slump, and gradually Iβll choose more exciting songs and sing my heart out until my mood has improved.
3/6
1. Cuddles - whether itβs with a friend or a partner, the #oxytocin released during nice long #cuddles is one of the healthiest happy chemicals you can get

If I know why I feel bad, Iβll work on processing my feelings through #journaling, talking etc.
But what if itβs just a #badday?
Here are some things what work for me when #PMS, #hanger, or other emotional irritants get the bad side of me:

When I look back this time next year, what change will I hope to notice?
Asking yourself this throughout the year is another great way to make sure you stay on track with your chosen direction.
#questionoftheweek #newyear #newyearseve #newyearsresolution #newyearnewme #regret #values #direction #psychology
What #direction or #value will you carry into 2025? Share it below; Iβd love to hear what inspires you!
31.12.2024 23:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 01. Reflect on one or two values that resonate most with you (e.g., #growth, #connection, #health).
2. Ask: βWhat small actions can I take each day/week to live in alignment with this direction?β
I will incorporate movement into my daily #routine.
This is adaptable to how you feel that day, so you are more likely to stick to it.
So what should you do?
And they allow #flexibility: even if plans change, the value remains intact.
Example:
#Goal: I will go to the gym 4 times a week.
This is rigid, precise, and you might feel like you failed if you arenβt consistent.
#Direction:
Goals are outcome-focused, but directions are process-focused.
Research shows that when we align actions with our values, we experience greater #fulfillment and #resilience.
Directions serve as #intrinsicmotivators - they remind you of who you want to be, not just what you want to #achieve.
Traditional #NewYearβs resolutions often fail because theyβre rigid.
What if, instead, you set a directionβan #intention that acts like a compass for your year?
4. Keep these intentions in a small bag with some dried lavender or chamomile for posterity, and store it in a safe place.
You can come back to your intentions at any moment to remind yourself of the direction to follow in 2025.
Happy #BlackMoon, and Happy #NewYear!

31st is a perfect time!
3. Now youβve made space for the new, take your moonstone if you have one, and write down your intentions for the coming year.
Example: I want to have more structure in my work life, and be mindful towards my personal spiritual healing practices.

1. Journal prompt: what do I want to let go of from the year 2024?
Example from me: I want to stop chasing cheap dopamine, I want to let go of my fear of xyz
2. Write down your answers on individual pieces of paper, and find a safe place to burn them. Outside during the night of the 30th or

Thereβs a Black Moon tonight π
This means a powerful moment of #rebirth in the cycles of nature.
This makes this New Year a particularly potent #cosmic moment for a fresh start.
Hereβs a #psychology approved #ritual to make the most of the occasion:

Mine is: Rest isnβt always about doing less. Sometimes itβs about processing and sharing your emotions AS you go through the shitstorm.
No judgement if scrolling is what you need to switch off today - I might be online too!
