Trump wanting to take a stake in Intel (and possibly others) is a good first step. We need more state intervention in and ownership of large companies. But taking a “stake” alone is not sufficient. Companies need to be steered toward broad-based social benefits, not the enrichment of the few.

My wife saw one trotting down 16th around Missouri about a week ago on her way to work in the morning, not giving a care to anyone on the street.

A year ago today we closed on the sale of our house in Massachusetts, kicking off a wild 10 week period where we lived in the “fart” motel for 6 weeks, drove across the country, and, finally, settled into our new place in San Francisco.

I think that because he is a democrat there is every reason to believe that he will get co-opted. 🤞 But yeah, you wouldn’t know he wasn’t a socialist listening to or reading mainstream commentary.

I mean, Bernie’s rise and Trump’s victory a decade ago should have shown democrats that people were tired of the status quo.

There is no way we should be helping Israel bomb Iran. If it happens we should occupy the streets until it’s shut down. Then, finally, elect a suitable opposition party. The dems are complicit!

This is a great attitude to have. Freedom is what it’s all about. I don’t even make a living off of my creative efforts and find myself confined by all the roadblocks I create. Like, who cares?

As I sit, depleted, contemplating what’s next, this couldn’t come at a better time. All doors, all paths, all directions…

Amazon’s ‘Shop Small Business, Shop Amazon’ ad campaign is next level shit. Even if the claim is true, they want me to believe that spending money on a small business across the country is the same as direct help to businesses in my community. All while Bezos gets his cut. #FuckAmazon

Thinking about home affordability and homeless issues in the U.S. Not really a new thought, but I just don’t see how a commodified (ie. capitalist) model solves the problem of chronic crisis. It just isn’t in enough people’s interest. #socialhousing

This is tough - so much to discuss in 300 characters. Some are structural and intractable. It’s these that make me seriously question my position in the system. Others may be solvable - and may even lead to better buildings and/or workflows - but kind of just nibble around the edges.
