Adios rule of law.
Steve, Biden wants to play things safely. He hopes to be remembered as a statesman when in fact he will be recalled as weak. He broke the one-term pledge that would have allowed the DNC to select a candidate in a timely manner and allowed a milquetoast AG to let Trump go unpunished for his crimes.

The truth is I am angry with Joe Biden. The breaking of the one-term pledge promise and allowing Garland to destroy the rule of law anger me.

24.11.2024 02:33 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The conversation about the legitimacy of this Trump presidency should occur every day. Tenet Media. The barrage of lies from the candidate. The election interference (Musk and X). Interference from foreign governments. Trump did not win fairly. He cheated as he always does.

Peter, the Trump administration is bent on stripping Medicare and Social Security. People in their “golden years” live with daily uncertainty about the future. The voters that placed Trump in the presidency are about to get exactly what they wanted. I hope they like it.

23.11.2024 12:00 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I realized today that my vote for Biden in 2020 was the biggest voting mistake of my life. Trump would have finished his second term with many guardrails in place and we would be done with him. Biden did nothing to protect our democracy and he broke his one term pledge. What a mistake. Nero fiddles.
23.11.2024 00:21 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the U.S. midterm election will occur during the second Trump term. All 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 33 of the 100 seats in the U.S. Senate will be contested to determine the 120th United States Congress. This is our chance to save this country.

These two paragraphs — by John Avlon, a former journalist turned Democratic candidate in New York's 1st Congressional District— come closer to describing legacy media's portion of the blame than just about anything I have read. www.thebulwark.com/p/what-i-saw...
The political elite class is no longer concerned with the interests of the people. Politicians are not inclined to act from integrity. Fear is a better motivator as Trump has shown so very clearly. Until the people have some power again, the corruption will continue.

20.11.2024 15:45 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Trump minions are spewing “mandate” rhetoric. Neither candidate earned the votes of 25% of the U.S. population. Neither candidate earned the votes of 50% of the registered voters in the U.S. The popular vote has Trump at 49.94% while Harris is at 48.26. Having a mandate is another big lie by Trump.

Any government report that does not contain matters of national security should be available to the public. There are of course times when secrecy is required for the greater good of a nation. An ethics report is clearly not one of those times.

In Hong Kong, more than 40 pro-democracy advocates were sentenced to lengthy prison terms. I never imagined the U.S. would need a pro-democracy movement. Democracy is who we are. These are defining moments in America. We must reform government and reject an oligarch-controlled pretend democracy.
Michele, it seems that many in the Fourth Estate are not all that concerned about journalistic integrity or truth. Social media is powerful, but not organized. Organization has perhaps never been more important.
