Hi friends, I have a poem out in Haven Spec! Did you know there is a poetry form called a sapphic? (I got very excited about writing sapphic sapphics when I learned this.) This poem is a sapphic about witchy crows (also pretty sapphic subject matter tbh).

Dialogue. I was real good at making my fanfic dialogue sound like something you'd really hear in that TV character's voice and now I'm just generally good at making my characters talk like people.

I'd be delighted if you read any of these, to nominate them for awards or not. It's such a joy when my strange ideas and stubbornly hopeful characters get to build a connection between me and the world.

"Song for a Star-Whale’s Ghost" is about singing space shanties to your whale ship and heisting for the good of her grandchildren. And about the cost of lowering your expectations.
