For our #flowcytometry peeps, would you like to have a single fix/perm protocol that is optimised for everything? One that preserves fluorophores while allowing simultaneous TF and cytokine staining? How about 100-fold cheaper?

You got it:

Editorial rejection from journal 2 today. This one stung a little, but thatโ€™s the game. I have to remember that my PhD paper was passed up by 4-5 journals before getting reviewed! I just gotta keep trying.

Editorial rejection from journal Aโ€ฆ but suggested transfer to good journal option B! Now we wait (again). Happy 4th of July weekend!

Submitted a paper today! Itโ€™s out of our hands at this point and up to the editors/reviewers. But Iโ€™m proud of the work that went into it, no matter the outcome! I just have to hope others see the science as worthwhile and interesting. Thankful for all the support from co-authors and colleagues.

Just put the final touches on my NIA K22 application. Itโ€™s ready to submit; I just have to hope science is still being funded come 2026. Getting the K22 could really help in these uncertain times! Iโ€™m optimistic and eager to start my independent research program.

Iโ€™m glad thereโ€™s another effort to show support for science. I remember the March for Science a few years back during my PhD.

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

This is super cool and wild! Neuro-immune signaling in the gut causes ILC2s to travel to the pancreas and induce the production of glucagon.

Bought an external hard drive to help with data management for my MacBook Pro at home and backup important files. My mind was blown that I got a 2 TB SSD and this is the size! With my thunderbolt 3 ports it gets nearly 1GB/second transfer speeds. Backed up my 175GB sequencing data in 4 minutes. ๐Ÿคฏ

Age is important. Most people say 12 weeks old is the minimum age for kittens to have had enough socializing with other cats and the mother. Some even suggest 16 weeks. They still need extra social attention until about 6-9 months but by then can be relatively independent. Cats are amazing!
