I saw a sentence in an article about how SNAP recipients are managing and it said someone was trying to decide if driving to a food pantry was worth the gas money. It really stuck with me and I can’t stop thinking about it. I am so angry and heartbroken. This country is just so shameful.

I like how this is presented. Relatable protester, and good summary commentary by the videographer/indie news guy who made this. PLUS, appalling footage of women & children in chains, caught by this protester.

We have long possessed the ability to have everyone fed, clothed and housed and have chosen not to do so. Now, this regime demands the power to commit more aggravated impoverishment.

Magistrate judge plans visit to ICE Broadview facility amid lawsuit over conditions

U.S. Magistrate Judge Laura McNally authorized the visit as part of a lawsuit over conditions inside the facility. A temporary restraining order requires a clean mat and bedding for everyone held overnight, and that cells be cleaned twice daily.
