That doesn't mean additional players don't come with their own problems, communication is hard, even when stakes are low. For example, I've played 7 Days to Die solo. It's doable, but it becomes so much easier when you have more than one person to tackle the needs the game throws at you.

The more survival crafting games I play, the more I feel like they're truly an endorsement of community, even if that's not what they set out to do. The sheer number of things you need to do in many of them is made easier by additional players and coordination.

I keep poking around and looking at grabbing this one specifically because I love those books.

We had a number of walk-ups, but also had a few where the car would pull up, disgorge 5-6 kids who'd run up for candy, then they'd all pile back into the car and move on. It wasn't as cold here, but it was still pretty chilly.

A common phrase said by my partner: "It's no good. She likes it!"

I've tried multiple times to prevent both @mrdowden.com, @markdc.bsky.social, and @martine.dev from fireballing critical things. It rarely works. Of course, I can't really talk, I've done a decent bit of "your reflex save is good enough."

One of the locations I have for my upcoming Starfinder game is a bar run by a Medusa who wears large 80s-style reflective sports sunglasses. Still workshopping the name.

I grinned so big when I saw this piece as I was going through the GM Core. They're some of my favorites and the piece is great.

Supposed to have what may be the last session of a multi-year campaign this weekend. We'll see how things go. Otherwise really busy with house and other stuff, so not much other gaming unfortunately.

Now, nearly two years into my medical transition, I'm happier, more confident, and more myself than I think I've ever been. And I have my moments of reflecting on my past and seeing things that make sense now, in my current context, but only now. They weren't anything important then.

As someone who lacked context and language for transition and so it didn't even occur to me that this might be me until I was in my 40s, this makes a ton of sense. Even once I started to have the language, The Story kept me from getting there.

Rogue Trader. They really managed to nail how Rogue Trader's operate in a way that I thought they might struggle with and the story and characters are great. The mechanics in the game share a lot of DNA with its TTRPG forebear.

Not this weekend other than some of the typical video gaming. Have to start planning a Starfinder game though.

Had an amazing session of Season of Ghosts last night thanks to @markdc.bsky.social and it definitely helped my week out.

Pretty good. Spent the weekend in a cabin hanging out with friends and playing board games.

I usually just make characters based off some facet of me, but I've worked through a lot of thoughts that way. Namely... *gestures at transition*

I'm off all week to rest, recharge, and prep to play board games with a group for almost all of next weekend.

Right now, Starfinder. I really want to run a "Pathfinder characters pulled into Starfinder" game. Other than that, my list has stayed pretty constant, mostly of things I'll probably never get to.
