โ€œAbolish ICEโ€ seems to be a trend-setter in Chicago.

Americans spend an average of $4K a year on utilities.

Britain caps energy bills at around $2100.

@capitolfax.bsky.social I wanted to share that based on the evolution of the hyoid bone, scientists believe humans have been singing since 500,000 to 1 million years ago, before we were even neanderthals.

Thanks for bringing us together in song.

We now know humans have been singing for somewhere between 500K and 1 million years, before we even evolved into h. sapiens and long before the earliest discovered weapon.

Altruism, equity, reciprocity and social bonding are baked into us by evolution. They are deep chords waiting to be played. 3/3

A large segment of the electorate understands this, and Democrats cannot win, maintain, and grow a majority in Congress without them.

We were taught in college that man is by nature brutish and selfish.

Daley coined the phrase โ€œgood government is good politics.โ€

Democratic strategists take that to mean โ€œkitchen table issues.โ€

But you cannot have โ€œgood governmentโ€ w/o democracy. 1/3

The invasion of Ukraine began 4 years ago today. We must remember that Ukraine is our ally, and that Russia is not. No matter what the current occupant of the White House would like us to believe.

If Feigenholtzโ€™s primary opponent has
actually knocked on 70,000
doors, they are not in the 6th Senate District, and if he had actually knocked on half that many doors he would not need to debate her, the voters would already know his position on the issues.

I first met Rev Jackson in 2006. I was working for A+ Illinois.

Jackson and Rainbow PUSH were leading school funding reform, hosting our strategy meetings on the weekend right before his tv show.

Dear Eric:

The didnโ€™t invite him to the wedding and are only inviting him to the reception because they only care about recieving the wedding gift.

They excluded his 20 year old daughter and did not let him bring a +1 because 20 y.o. cant afford fancy gifts and +1 would cost them an extra meal.

It's Official: the Cybertruck is More Explosive than the Ford Pinto - FuelArc News We now have a full year of data for the Cybertruck, and a strange preponderance of headlines about Cybertrucks exploding into flames, including several fatalities. Thatโ€™s more than enough data to comp...

The Ford Pinto had a death rate of 85 people for 10 million cars sold. The Cybertruck hasn't sold 10 million, but the fatality rate so far maths out to 1,452 people killed per 10 million sold.

The Cybertruck may be the deadliest road car, for the occupants, ever sold.

You cannot reform the Secret State Police.

The problem is right there in the name.

As a Judge just said: you cannot have unidentifiable government agents in unmarked vehicles abducting people, it fails the 4th Amendment. You must be able to bring suit, so you need to know the Defendent.

This seems noteworthy @capitolfax.bsky.social .

Emilyโ€™s List has made no endorsement for the Schakowsky Seat?

That seems like a great endorsement to have up there, not quite as good as PersonalPAC maybe.

I think Terry Cosgrove used to personally call targeted districts.

I know Tim Drea did.

Let me throw this one out at you: as President, I will propose Congress require the boards of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts be composed atleast 51% of artists in their respective fields.

I will ask @brucespringsteen.net and more to serve. 1/2

Can we file a bill requiring Amazon to give everyone a flat refund based on 70% of their purchases?

I can tell you right now I have probably spent more time looking at voter rolls than even ISBE employees.

I wrote some of the earliest code for cross-referencing voter data.

You canโ€™t x-reference with birth certificates or social security 100% unless you do it manually.

In short, as I have said of Chicago, Alaska, and Minnesota:

Fuck with West Virginia at your own peril, but leave me out of it.

Minnesotans will protest and die for what they believe in.

West Virginia will make ICE agents disappear.

These people jump off an 800 foot bridge for kicks.

Let me just say that Minnesota and West Virginia are two sides of the same coin.

West Virginia is Conservative, in a โ€œMind your own fucking business, and I will mind mineโ€ kind of way.

Kurt Vonnegut pointed out that The Appalachian Mountains produces the most Medal of Honor awardees per capita. 1/

AIPACโ€™s goal in 2026 is to elect a Trump-friendly Congress, prevent his impeachment.

AIPACโ€™s goal in 2028 is another MAGA president.

If Trump cancelled elections, AIPAC would still support him.

AIPAC maintains ties to Bibi despite pending corruption trial.

Donโ€™t rely on โ€œanti-foreignerโ€ 2/2.

To be very frank (and probably unpopular) I think the โ€œforeign governmentโ€ argument is a bad idea.

It relies on the very โ€œAmerica First!โ€ framing and frankly, xenophobic argument we are trying to defeat.

The problem with AIPAC is that their primary goal in 2024 was to elect Trump.
