Colleges teach the most valuable career skills when they don’t stick narrowly to preprofessional education Parents and policymakers want job security for graduates, but in the AI and automation era, careers may depend as much on curiosity and initiative as on credentials.

I agree heartily with this article about the utility of a college education. 🌾🌿πŸ§ͺπŸŽ“

I know next to nothing about spiders, but this web caught my attention. Does anyone recognize it? Same Houston Forest, Texas.

t's raining galls! Galls of the mealy gall wasp are falling out of the southern live oaks all over Houston. As you can see, a lot of them are damaged, as though something tried to eat the larva in the center chamber.

I don't think so. In common use "survey" implies or means that more than one individual participated. A "questionnaire" can be given to one or more individuals, but you can only "interview" one person at a time. These are tools that can be used to create a survey.

This would be great, and the science is compelling, but allowing leaves to accumulate and rot on a lawn will kill the grass. This approach really should be paired with alternatives to the usual lawn.

For the first time, renewable energy has OVERTAKEN coal in global electricity production!!

Just to finish this off, the mechanism involves exuding cytokinin.

The quality and predatory nature of MDPI journals differs widely among them. I have found several to be quite reliable and valuable for getting to the audience I seek.

Apparently RFK is going to announce that leucovorin can be a treatment for autism. It’s used as rescue drug for osteosarcoma treatment , and this action will likely push it into shortage.😠

I think you should be using the same Y-axis scale for both. That would highlight and clarify the differences.

Democrats should let the budget expire and the government close down. Given what's been done to our government, nobody will notice.

The probability doesn't change. The time for the unprovable to occur merely lengthens.
