I did not say that. If you're trying to pick a fight on the internet go find someone who actually said the thing you want to argue against

17.02.2026 22:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes but I am neither Cory Booker nor Gavin Newsom
17.02.2026 21:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, I wasn't being sarcastic, I was trying to figure out what this person meant. Thanks for jumping in though
17.02.2026 21:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Who are you talking to right now? I am never voting for Newsom (or Klobuchar, or Shapiro, or Whitmer, or Ro Khanna) unless they're the eventual nominee
17.02.2026 19:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0No, I am not saying this is a bad stance. The bad stance would be actually following through and withholding a vote if the alternative is JD Vance.
17.02.2026 18:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Who the fuck is the "you guys" here?
17.02.2026 17:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do not. Your cynicism has to be at least connected to reality if you want to pass yourself off as someone really wise about politics
17.02.2026 17:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Lol no one is actually this stupid
17.02.2026 17:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Right, I don't know who I'm voting for in the primary (not Newsom), but once that's over it's really important that JD Vance lose
17.02.2026 17:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Oh I see. Then once a nominee is chosen and there's no other alternative to JD Vance, *then* you'll hold your nose and vote for them. It's just better to make them think they need to fight for your vote. Got it.
17.02.2026 17:02 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0The question is whether you'd vote for these people if they're the nominee. I voted for Bernie and then Warren in the last two primaries and then voted for Hillary and Biden in the general, which was an exceptionally easy moral choice
17.02.2026 16:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm a progressive and I need Donald Trump and JD Vance not to be the fucking president
17.02.2026 16:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0So is the line somewhere between Kamala and newsom? Kamala OK but newsom not? (To be clear I hate Newsom and don't think he'll be the nominee)
17.02.2026 16:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Is this an accelerationist thing?
17.02.2026 16:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So if it's JD Vance vs Newsom, what's your plan?
17.02.2026 16:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 3 π 1Yes! Love Flowers for Dreams, always had good experiences with them
14.02.2026 21:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The deterrence calculus is probably a little different for the rich & powerful who never face consequences vs. the general public.
Iran Contra and J6 are probably better examples than the Civil War, though I think it's fair to question how much senior CSA leadership really was punished.
I remember this home run like my parents remember the Kennedy assassination, just era-defining for a kid from south Louisiana
11.02.2026 15:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you do start wearing headphones please please just wear one (preferably the right ear)
10.02.2026 16:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh man :(
08.02.2026 23:10 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Wait how conservative is Billy?
08.02.2026 23:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0The most easily manipulable contract of all time?
08.02.2026 21:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Super interesting, thanks for answering. Really enjoy your newsletter! Would love to find something similar for Vancouver, where I'm moving later this month
08.02.2026 19:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Got it. So what's the reason for using low-floor trains on a brand new line?
08.02.2026 19:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Dumb question but what does floor height have to do with the number of doors?
08.02.2026 19:32 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Look at the post you were responding to: "The district was Trump +13 in 2024. This is a 37 point shift left."
It's a shift left in *partisan voting results*. The meaning is clear!
It wasn't defended *in the last election* because Republicans didn't contest it. So a Democrat held the seat because Republicans didn't run anyone against the Dem in 2023. Dems just defended against a Republican flip of the seat.
08.02.2026 09:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It wasn't defended. The last time people in this district voted was the 2024 presidential election. Now apologize to all the people you've accused of being bad at math
