Ex-Reform UK Wales leader accused of taking Russian bribes The ex-MEP and former UKIP Wales leader made favourable statements about Russia for money, a court hears.

Well what do you know. Reform UK's former leader in Wales has just been accused in court of accepting bribes in exchange for making statements in the European Parliament that would benefit Russia.

Not a single person has been put on trial for killing 72 people at Grenfell.

But they can lock up non-violent Just Stop Oil protestors for more than 60 years, because they are a 'danger'.

Really struck today by how many of the people most responsible for the Brexit shitshow were actively rewarded for their stupidity/dishonesty. Knighthoods, Damehoods, peerages, newspaper columns, seats in the House of Commons… It’s a mark of how deep the rot has gone into the fabric of our society.

Norfolk businesses reflect on backing Brexit Five years since the UK left the EU, two business owners who voted Leave tell us if it was worth it.

"I was a strong Brexit supporter. I made that decision to try to save our industry. We believed fishing in the UK was going to be stronger. It's what we were promised. Instead it's smaller. It's costing us Β£60,000pa extra. #Brexit has done me no favours."

Badenoch’s call for new grooming gangs probe reflects old fixations Tory leader raises valid concerns but her diagnosis suggests she has not looked at all the evidence

Kemi Badenoch’s comments on the grooming gangs show her to be incapable of doing the job she currently holds and unfit for the one she seeks:

The solution to the UK's economic problems is to rejoin the Single Market.

It's like trying to run a bath and refusing to put the plug in.

It is never going to fill up.

Farage suggests he'll set up an 'unoffical inquiry into grooming gangs'.

07.01.2025 10:23 β€” πŸ‘ 827    πŸ” 132    πŸ’¬ 93    πŸ“Œ 3

Oh ffs. The attention-seeking grift is endless.
As is the abject failure of every single bloody stupid and obnoxious idea Farage has.
Please join the dots, people. It’s demeaning for the whole country that you can’t work this out.

Elon Musk is starting to risk getting Jess Phillips killed. She's been safeguarding minister for six months. She oversaw nothing relating to the rape gangs. As an opposition MP she was one of the most prominent campaigners for the victims.

What he's doing is a travesty.

Why is it that Labour appears to be unwilling to cause any kind of β€˜diplomatic incident’ while Trump and Musk are quite happy to be diplomatically incontinent all over the place? Would very much like our govt to protect our democracy and show some ruthless national self-respect.

Elon Musk 'misinformed' on grooming gangs, says Wes Streeting The Conservatives have also criticised the billionaire for "sharing things that are factually inaccurate".

Insufficient from Streeting and actually quite dangerous. Musk's comments against Phillips in particular risk her safety. Saying you're "willing to work" with him helps validate that behaviour.

Britain is paying the highest taxes ever, but has the worst Public Services because all of them have been privatised and most of your money is being stolen as profit.

Jess Phillips and Keir Starmer could get seriously rich if they wanted to take Musk to court…

…for libel and quite possibly incitement to put their lives in danger.

At some point someone in the British government has to hit back at Musk. If he was just some rich guy, fine - whatever. Enjoy your drugs. But he is a leading figure in the incoming US administration. Is our policy now that foreign governments can speak this way about us without any consequence?

Ok. Musk is insane. An out-of-control lunatic ketamine-soaked billionaire in charge of the White House with a feverish grudge against our govt and Starmer in particular. Reform and the Tories disgrace themselves by their fawning, unpatriotic and dangerous association with him.

In the USA they have normalized people paying $12,000 a year for Health Insurance, receiving absolutely nothing, then having to pay thousands or tens of thousands of dollars more if they actually get treatment.

They need to abolish Health Insurance, it's a scam.

Five months ago, I recorded a 10-minute explanation, as a former regulator, of why the UK would be not only perfectly within its rights to ban twitter, but probably ought to.

Maybe now people will listen.

Is there any former major Cabinet Minister of any party whose political ambition has NOT been for personal financial benefit in the end?
