Seen as I'm reposting everything. I want to talk about this piece. It was the first image I posted this year that included prose.
Its probably the most important thing I've ever painted. It let me explore my style and build confidence with my writing.

Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).

Read and green northern light

I always dreamt of seing the northern lights, but the few times it happens where I live, I'm usually sleeping.
And then one day I got to see it, and it was very bright. Me, my hubby and the dog spent way too much time outside in the cold just staring in amazement.

Bc we ARE making the content for ourselves but it feels /bad/ when people don’t engage or show interest. You can care about both at the same time

What is also not helpful is when people DO sense it's out of fear or trauma, then take offence or try to convince me there's nothing to be afraid of.
