I think so. The constitution says that they make their own rules. Some would contend that the constitution affords them the exclusive power to make and follow their own rules, effectively giving Congress power to ignore any order from the Supreme Court to follow their rules or change their rules.

Given the absence of southern representatives, the northern states had a 2/3 majority and overrode presidential vetos. It was quite a time.

In the immediate aftermath of the Civil War the southern states that Pres Johnson recognized sent representatives to Congress and the clerk refused to call their name for the swearing in. Congress convened without them and Johnson issued vetos on bills claiming Congress was illegitimate due to this

This formulation is popular: contrasting SCOTUS' intolerance of race as an admissions factor with SCOTUS' tolerance of race as a detention factor. There are, in fact, doctrinal, historical, and logical distinctions between the positions, that one could use to dismiss this comparison.

Federal appeals normally take over 2 YEARS, start to finish.

Here, the circuit court moved heaven and earth and produced its unanimous 61-page order, affirming the district court, less than 3 WEEKS after the district court's.

The Supreme Court just nuked it without a syllable of explanation.

And in bankruptcy court, it will be the consumers battling it out with the creditors and utility shareholders over whose ox gets gored. If they split the baby, consumers lose.

And when the bubble pops ALL that infrastructure built by the utilities will be paid by core consumers and not the data center owners. At least for the utilities that don’t discharge their debts in bankruptcy.

The American Gas Association.

That’s right, the trade group representing investor owned natural gas companies is, compared to the Trump administration, woke.
