Solutions like UBI make Canada more resilient to US economic warfare. They dampen the effect of tariffs and businesses pulling out of Canada.

We will not beat the US by playing their games, we beat them by rebuilding our society into one that cares for people.

The High Court has confirmed what we all knew: proscribing Palestine Action was unlawful.

The state must stop using β€œcounter-terror” powers to criminalise solidarity and intimidate working-class people out of protest.

The Labour government must lift the proscription now and drop every case NOW.

Bruce Fanjoy:

Statement Regarding the Return to Office Policy
February 9*, 2026
On February 5th, 2026, the federal government announced an updated Return-to-Office
(RTO) policy for federal public servants. Today, I am calling upon the government to reconsider this policy for the following reasons:
1. The new RTO policy makes it harder to achieve the government's priorities of reducing the operating cost of government, improving affordability, and respecting the environment. Instead, it will cost both the government and citizens more and increase pollution.
2. There is little to no evidence that a one-size-fits-all RTO policy will improve productivity or service to Canadians.
3. The RTO policy makes it harder for public servants to balance work with other responsibilities.
I believe Canada is better served by a hybrid model that balances a mix of in-office and remote work. The right balance is flexible and depends on circumstances. Done well, a hybrid model reduces the cost of government and benefits workers and all Canadians.
To my constituents in Carleton, I hear you. I will continue to press for solutions that work for you and all Canadians.
Sincerely,
Bruce Fanjoy
Member of Parliament for Carleton

Chances are, you’re paying too much for groceries. πŸ’Έ

Let’s take a look at whyβ€” and why it doesn’t have to be this way.

Watch to the end for just one of the ways the Ontario NDP will rein in these outrageous prices.

Why aren’t we talking about UBI? We spend over $80b a year on these bandaid credits and programs to tackle poverty. UBI would cost way less at approximately $3b a year. What a great way to reduce
Government inefficiency and support Canadians - the most significant nation building project.

We spend $80b a year on ineffective programs to tackle
poverty in Canada. An easy way to reduce government spending and protect jobs is to implement a Universal Basic Income which is estimated to cost $3b per year. See Senator Kim Pate’s excellent speech in the Senate advocating for UBI.

We shouldn’t be on it at all. The $1 billion was to extend the time frame to three years for a seat. The whole premise is vile.

Turns out the real threat isn’t immigrants - it’s blue zip codes.
