β€œCinematographer Bing Sokolsky crafts a stylised and imposing world with aplomb… [and] VFX legend William Mesa manages to do a lot with what’s clearly very little.”

I warn you, it's a terrible film. Not technically terrible, but totally bland and creatively redundant.

Glad you posted about this as I'd totally missed this series. Sollima and Fasoli have worked together on a couple of series I love, Gomorrah & ZeroZeroZero, so I'm definitely going to check this out.

We... don't have one! SKYSCRAPER ESCAPE (2017) will NOT become the 9️⃣3️⃣1️⃣st film we've found with an exploding helicopter.

The sound effects work is a total red herring. This is a crash with a lot of smoke. You can't fool us with your sound effects!

New DTVC Podcast, episode 233, "Today You Die" with @scottmurphy.bsky.social from All '90s Action, All The Time

This is the lucky number 13th DTV Seagal film for Scott and me. Plus, Sarah Buxton's inclusion has us discussing "Sunset Beach" and Channel 5 in the UK.

Watched OBSESSION (1949) deliciously dark thriller about a man plotting revenge against his wife's lover. Robert Newton is fantastic as the cuckolded husband, but the MVP is Naunton Wayne as a deceptively casual detective. There's more than a hint of Columbo to his cat and mouse with Newton.

Just a reminder that in Enemy of the State (1998) the cars in the tunnel chase scene had to be chopped into several sections, taken three levels below in a lift, reassembled and painted.

Once filming was complete they were disassembled once again and removed from the duct.

You’re welcome.
