I feel like I know how to draft and play Vintage Cube, but I just don’t win. I think my win rate is like 40-45%. If I knew what the problem was that would probably be a big chunk of the way to fixing it.

Reflecting on this:
- slightly under-rated ugin
- was right about Mox jasper; it’s bad even if you’re memeing dragons
- clarion conqueror does solo some historic decks but hasn’t been widely adopted yet; it’s a self-own for a lot of decks and prohibits Lurrus
- missed Cori-steel cutter entirely 👎

Have we found the good cards for Modern+ in the FF main set yet? They keep dribbling the previews so slowly I can’t focus.
I guess the WW cloud is supposed to be pushed, but Stoneforge. The 1U living weapon quirion dryad seems like a standard role player not something I actively want.

It was pointed out to me after the game that I probably missed an opportunity to misdirect an overload to a factory. This is the consequence of not practicing

There’s a side event after round 3, the play is probably to drop and play that if I hit a second loss

After straight-up losing a card I am a convert to the “pack as light as possible” school of tournament attendance for sure

4-2-2 at the lobstercon side event today. Punted at least one game leading to a draw but I’m happy with this for a first tournament experience lifetime.

Sitting around 15-3 now. It's like a breath of fresh air; if I had remembered this deck was still playable I might not have played so much less over the past week. OTOH playing less probably makes the time I do spend playing feel better
