I was lucky enough to get in on an early round of play testing and also played the demo a lot, so I can attest to the cosy chaos. The best kind of chaos 🤝 the best kind of cosy 🤣 really keen for some of the expanded content/mechanics from the play test that weren’t in the demo 🤩

Just finished Day 5 and had a sneak peek of the protagonist’s commentary upon receiving the Day 6 post and… the anticipation 😍😍😍 I am so here for the drama and need to buy this game for my cosy rpg friends for Xmas so we can discuss.
Also, writing my letters with a dip pen is excellent immersion 🖋️

I’m struggling with the mental load of uni/clinic/life rn but as long as I don’t let it impact my sleep, I’m pretty sure this game release will save me 😅 behavioural activation, let’s goooooooo!

I’m so excited about it, it’s so much fun and I’m only on day 4 today. It’s so tempting to play more than one day at a time, because I want to know what’s next, but it’s also paced so well that playing a single day per real-time day is satisfying, and the anticipation is part of the excitement.

I was massively dysregulated yesterday so took a break to play a day of My Late Father’s Correspondence* and it was exactly what I needed to get out of my head and distract me from the sounds contributing to my dysregulation. 10/10 recommend

It smells sooooo good. It’s probably 70% of the reason we still have that tree, because I don’t enjoy eating oranges and it’s in a kind of inconvenient spot. But it’s so pretty and smells delightful 😍

Here’s the comparison. They are both pretty bright white, my camera just is doing weird things with the white balance. Pilot Kaküno if that makes a difference 😅
And I rounded the corners with a corner punch. Keen to hear recommendations for a POD that does rounded corners!

The 60lb uncoated paper from Lulu has been generally fine with my fountain pens, aside from mild ghosting. It’s just the 80lb coated that feathers uncontrollably. But I only got into fountain pens about 3 months ago, and I couldn’t find any info back then, so I’m doing a slow trial of what I find.

I should mention that I’ve been really happy with the standard-paper-weight paperback journals I’ve had printed through Lulu, and haven’t had any complaints from my Etsy customers, it’s just the hard covers that I don’t like. So I’m gonna try Ingram Spark for print-on-demand hard covers next time.

PSA to anyone getting hard cover books printed by Lulu: they’re just perfect-bound with a hard cover, not case-bound as you might expect by the phrase “traditional hardcover binding”.

And fountain pen ink feathers terribly on their heavier paper, so it’s usable but not ideal for custom journals.

You could also give this a read, as we count down to Halloween.

interest and compassion I would need to care about their redemption enough to read another book. I read Satan’s Affair a while back, and that was super messed up but Sibby (?) was a more believable and well-developed character than these two. I just don’t get the hype around this book.
