Occasionally I will make an effort to find a song someone lost on Reddit. Often times I can’t, but it can yield some interesting results!

When I was 13 years old there was a group of girls that I was friends with that played. I got into it as an excuse to hang out with them more. I had a gift box with two Revised starter decks and a few Fall Empires packs. Deck construction was every card you owned shuffled together.

I sort-of fixed it for the way people *want* it to work. This would be either/or instead of still being both. Ideally the frame would look more like a multicolor artifact and there would be a symbol for this in the cost, but this is the best I could cobble together on mtg.design

I’ve spent a decade trying to make Bant Creaturelands work, and Aang, at the Crossroads and Toph, Earthbending Master are welcome additions.

I’ve also been brewing a deck in Grixis that cares about bottom of library. Dutiful Knowledge Seeker and Wan Shi Tong, All-Knowing are great fits.

The ? after Prog Rock is what made me curious, but I stayed for the crippled puppy.

A few great song/album titles sound like playground name calling. Helper Skelter, Nilsson Schmilsson, Yeltsin Schmeltsin, Yakov Smirnoff.

It’s a shame we don’t have a larger sample size to see if the consistency holds up.

The same thing I’m trying to do while not running Wizards: trying to develop more ways to play multiplayer so that the Commander format isn’t bearing the whole load. Countless ways to play 1v1, but multiplayer gets a draft set or wacky variant every few years (aside from Commander decks).

The weirder part is that hybrid would be easier to design for Commander… limited? Cool. I’ve gotten to play that twice. I play regular Commander regularly. You don’t warp an eternal format so drafts are easier? Plus, we all line up for the Unknown Events! Bend it for draft. We’ll test it out there!

I really hope we get a Korra set. I missed ATLA when it aired, but had roommates that got excited when Korra premiered. That was my entry point for the Avatar universe.

I’ve been working on resurrecting my 2HG cube to possibly bring to Shoebox. Overhauled a few archetypes and upgraded a few things since it’s been dormant since 2019. Received the cards this week and looking at swapping out a quarter of the cube. 😅

The idea that I could Red Elemental Blast a Swans of Bryn Argoll in a MonoW deck seems more confusing than what we have now.

It seems like the change is being floated for something down the pipeline, but I would assure WOTC that cool designs will find a home.

I also have a difficult time killing my darlings, so I typically have a few lists sitting and waiting on cuts, including:
-Toggo/Ardenn equipment-less equipment
-Nathan Drake mooch deck
-Falco Spara as Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney. Court/trial themed with all of the witnesses as FF summons.

I’ve been waiting on support for Jund -1/-1 counters for a while. I had made a list during lockdown, but there isn’t a clear Commander and it also feels like it needs a few more pieces to make it go brrrrr…
