And Blair and Eastern both have kids walking on unsafe sidewalks along University and crossing beltway.

Declining enrollment would alleviate overcrowding issues. Purple line construction is non-issue because it's nearly finished. Schools supporting DTSS are good. Walking is good. Capacity was a major reason for moving the high school.

There are way too many flaws in this guy's reasoning.

Anybody claiming to be surprised by any of this is admitting they were sleepwalking last year.

It's not bad and a lot more dignified than most.

That means Republicans are taking responsibility for the shutdown.

This is the time to let them know what you think about the plans so far. Is there enough traffic calming? Will you feel safe getting to the stations?

Infrastructure that is used for more than just supporting one candidate, and they don't shut their doors after campaign season.

Donations to progressive organizations were way down in 2023, a year brfore the election, when they could have done a lot of good. Many orgs were laying people off and closing up shop.

Donating to orgs is generally better than donating to candidates. The money builds progressive infrastructure

NPR isn't saying defensive walking is "the" solution. But they should do a better job of saying these tips are necessary because we have an unsafe environment which desperately needs to be fixed.

I teach my child how to walk in an unsafe environment, and also advocate for safe infrastructure.

We know nothing is too "brazen" for Republicans and nothing is too unethical. Democrats need to be proactively preparing for the worst and fighting against it.
