Playing Skate in 2025 feels insane but it's as fun as I remember. Could do without the Micro transactions in an early access game and AI companion. But hey, that's electronic arts in 2025

When the game works, it's fine. But when the gigantic cracks in the game show, it sours the whole thing. A game 9 years in development somehow feels worse to play than Tokon which has spent less dev time.

I know it's a closed beta (which is a soft launch lets be fr) but there are times where this thing needs a complete re-do again. They've thought to take the "best" mechanics from other games but haven't expanded on them and instead weirdly mutated them? it's weird

You can tell it's bad when this kind of ravine exists between my Ky I've been playing for around a month vs my Johnny who I barely play now and got shot in the kneecaps with nerfs

I know learning a new character is hard, and trial and error unfortunately involves error. But holy shit why does it annoy me so much to lose on Ky. But when I win I feel like I'm god's gift to Strive.

I don't think there is a greater pet peeve that I have when it comes to playing fighting games online, than when playing against someone who suddenly thinks "I should mentor this person" so loops the same shit waiting for you to counter it

Kinda disappointed that Konami isn't bringing back MGO and is instead going for what seems to be a hide and seek multiplayer? MGO was rather poorly maintained in MGS5 and although the audience for it may be quite niche. There is a large fanbase for it and a new generation can benefit from a new MGO

I love indie game company Arc System Works has done nothing for so long that we can't tell if YRC being different is a bug, mistake, or intended change. Surely it won't take 5 months to fix right?

There just isn't anything that pulls your attention in her design. Even going back to say Xrd designs or other Strive designs. There's nothing that stands out for Unika besides her bike thing, and that's not even in the foreground.

Also her background essentially sounding like someone's first ever OC is very funny to me.
"My character is actually from the future and is the child of Dizzy and Ky, she can wield the thunderseal and is a gear who can control other gears. Her weapon is also a bike"
