Any criticism you may have of the IC, of which *many* are legitimate, falls a lot flatter these days when you look at what the dems have said/done!

Even the center-right European People's Party voted for the declaration.
It will form a foundation for their position at the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

And yes, a cow’s brain is obviously capable of conciousness, and we have strong evidence capable of far more than we give them credit for. Because it has a brain and isn’t an algorithm

13.02.2026 15:41 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0And what is believing that a collection of code (again, written by humans, doing what humans TOLD it to do, which is all computer programming is) is capable of self-awareness in the same way a human is?
13.02.2026 15:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0lmfao I'm not even religious! I just understand that humanity and the way we interact with the world and one another is far more complex than a computer algorithm, written by a people, can ever be. This is a glorified chatbot that might have some niche uses but it is not capable of consciousness

So many people -- today, both communists and neoliberals -- get lost in the sauce because they don't understand that the Democratic Party is a left-of-center ballot line with a donation apparatus strapped on
I have two primary vehicles. One is an automobile, the other an e-bike.
Automobiles kill approximately 100 people a day in the US. E-bikes, fewer than 10 a year.
Guess which one has a speed limiter on it?
Hot take but a lot of opposition to “e-bikes” is just opposition to bikes in general. E-bikes are not quieter than acoustic bikes, when any bike is noisy it’s almost always noisy brakes or chain which apply to both types of bikes
