DOUBLE ADDENDUM: the way they integrated parts of the game itself into the movie was really fucking awesome. couldn't have asked for anything more.

addendum: I knew the film had a lower budget by modern-day standards and I was admittedly afraid it might come through in the VFX/props/etc. it didn't. at all. they worked with what they had, quite masterfully.

I only have a surface-level familiarity with Markiplier, so had I no issue buying the role he was selling, even if his acting could be a little amateurish at times. it wasn't perfect, but it was earnest, and I could feel the love in every single second I watched. go see it.

no jumpscares, just pure tension. it does start off a little slow, imo it just makes the ramp-ups and payoffs hit harder. the dialogue writing was great. you might find the overarching worldbuilding a little TOO vague/scattered at parts, if you haven't played the game.

(1/3) watched Iron Lung today. fantastic film. cinematography was unbelievable. soundtrack and sound design was all kinds of excellent. an extra special shoutout to the actors behind the intercom--even if the audio mixing was a little off, their deliveries had my heart racing.
