Yeah… no hating here. I’ve continuously said they are different players and do different things that they are both great at. The problem is Angel and her fans constantly compare her to CC or say she’s better than CC. They’re just different. And that’s ok.

She will be if she gets better players around here. I’m not arguing about anything. People do Reese, and to a point she does this to herself, a disservice comparing her to CC. She’s not. People need to lean into who she is and celebrate her for that.

I think his point was on those Pistons teams, Wallace wasn’t the best or second best player. Chauncey, Hamilton, Prince and Rasheed were arguably better players. If Angel keeps up this pace, she’ll be a Hall of Fame player, like Dennis Rodman.

I keep saying this but people always assume it’s a slight. It’s not.
Angel Reese is the female version of a young Dennis Rodman. He’s a Hall of Famer. She is the best in the W at what she does, which is rebound. She’s not a scorer. That’s fine. If she keeps up this pace, she’ll be in the HOF too.

But why? Angel hasn’t done anything to deserve this honor. There are so many more deserving players not named Caitlin.

The anti-CC crowd said she didn’t deserve to be the face of the W b/c she hadn’t done anything yet. CC went and proved it. She sold out arenas. Reese has a podcast and a trademark.

It’s wild the #Pacers will end up getting nothing for Turner after years of speculation they would trade him. Not only that but he goes to a division rival on a contract under $30M per year. Just a really tough look for the Blue and Gold. I’d expect them to trade for Utah C Lauri Markkanen soon.

LeBron’s nickname was “King James” his rookie year with a logo that included a crown so I’m not sure how much more anointed you can be.

The players can be mad at the media but Clark has shown nothing but respect fo WNBA players past and present so the disrespect from them is non-sensical to me.

I 100% agree with you on the legends who built the W. But what you described is jealousy and resentment. They hate Clark is the face of the league so early. And that’s a bad look for them. Use Clark to promote themselves in a positive light. This is an opportunity they are actively pushing away.

Any info you can share as to why players are so down on Plum and Clark would be enlightening.

And the players do seem to detest Clark at least. You see it in the on the court and in the media. Many seem petty and jealous that she’s getting the attention, whether fair or not, for raising the WNBA.

It does seem crazy about Plum. That was the biggest head scratcher to me. My guess is a lot of voting was done before Clark missed the past few games. At that point, she’s still one of the top 3 guards in most categories. Also, they certainly don’t guard her like she’s the 9th best guard.

Oh for sure. It’s just really interesting to see one group be basically identical while the other be very different. Like Plum being 6-6-16 or Clark 1-3-9 with Mitchell ahead of both of them in the player rankings is just an interesting perspective from the players. The media feels more accurate.

The discrepancy between the media and player ranks for guards are pretty wild. With the F/C group, they were almost identical.

Wow. Thought for sure this pick would be Raynaud there at 38 for the #Pacers but really like Kam Jones. High motor guy who can run, score and doesn’t turn it over.

Would’ve been elated if even one of Thiero, Watkins, Proctor, Lanier or Maxine on the clock when the #Pacers picked at 38. To have at least three of them available is amazing to see!

That’s for sure an Achilles rupture. I blew mine and it was a similar slight push off and it popped. Feel awful for anyone that has to go through this.

#Pacers now have two RD2 picks in the NBA Draft. It wouldn’t shock me if they traded those two picks to move into the back end of RD1 in order to take Walter Clayton Jr.

A big reason why the #Pacers lost in Game 7 is because Tyrese Haliburton, in 7 minutes before his catastrophic injury, scored the same amount of points (9) as Nesmith, Turner and Toppin did combined in 75 minutes. If they just met their series averages, Indy wins the title by double digits.

I’m over Stephen A at this point. He’s just loud and yells almost all the time. He talks like someone with hearing aids that are on the fritz. If he’s not being awkwardly loud, it’s some weird quiet “come at me bro” style monologue. His schtick is old and stale. I hope he’s not on “Inside the NBA.”

Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for Tyrese. Achilles ruptures suck but he’ll have the best care available.

What sucks is the #Pacers likely win this game going away if Haliburton doesn’t go down early. Talk about a real gut punch.

That’s a blown Achilles. He was rubbing that Soleus muscle early in the series and that’s a key indicator that an Achilles injury may occur.

It’d be so much better for the NBA if the Pacers were to win the title. OKC will be back with the face of the NBA and 2-3 legit superstars. Indy gives the Knicks the reigning champion “villain” to overcome next season in the playoffs.

Maybe I saw this wrong but did the graphic for the upcoming NBA schedule shown in the 3rd quarter of last night’s game happen to leave out the Game 7, if necessary, date? If so, that’s interesting given how Game 4 was officiated at the end and how Game 5 was officiated throughout.

Mathurin missed three FTs and committed two dead ball fouls so OKC gets two FTs and the ball back twice. SGA made two more FTs in one of those possessions. That’s 7 points given away in the last 23.1. Pacers lose by 7. Mathurin saved the Pacers in Game 3 but basically gave away Game 4.

The NBA is going to do their best to make sure it’s the Knicks in the NBA Finals. Zero chance they want the Pacers to make it because of the markets. Even if the Pacers did make it, they’d want either Shai or Ant to get their first title. Pacers will be underdogs against the NBA no matter what. 🤷‍♂️
