It would be ideal if I can have multiple documents open at a time, put tabs/headings into the same document, and run zero risk of having my work used to train AI. If there's any software that can fulfill all three criteria, I'll switch. Doubly so if it's free and good for Mac.

If you're writing a novel, what are some good word processors besides Google Docs? I'm not boycotting the USA - I live here - I'm just wondering how I can avoid getting my writing scraped to train LLMs?

I've been to the Netherlands twice, and I've appreciated the scale at which the cities are built. But I guess even every urbanist YouTuber's favorite country isn't perfect in this regard. Still a lovely place, though!

And again, city design is not the ONLY reason. And it's a REASON, not an EXCUSE. But I still think it's worth discussing as an aspiring urban planner.

Well-meaning Europeans often ask, understandably so, "Why aren't you in the streets every day?" Even before the last election, you could say that about having expensive health care or lots of gun violence. But lots of cities here just have no convenient places to gather for such an event.

And you're right: Screens are a factor, but they're far from the only factor. The way our cities are designed in the US makes it more difficult to have spontaneous get-togethers.

If anything, it's even worse on this side of the pond. I'm pretty passionate about this issue, and I'm the first to admit that I don't know what the solution is. Sure, a government can implement policies to make running third places more profitable, I guess.

I realize that it's glass houses and whatnot given I'm from the US, but this still sounds almost Orwellian.
