2 wall brown butterflies on Oglet shore again today , made up to get a couple of pics as it’s a 1st for me here
Plenty of others out small tortoise shell,comma, red admiral,small copper,
Common blue,large and small whites,painted lady,clouded yellow,speckled wood ,silver y moth

Adult and Juv common lizard on the shore this afternoon

Clouded yellow butterfly again today on the sea aster on Garston shore 💛

2 wheatear ,3 meadow and a rock pipit dropped onto the jetty at high tide on #patchbirding otherwise quiet on shore with just a few redshank,godwits,oystercatcher ,
curlew ,ringed plover, 3 stonechat and a couple of Dunlin

A garden 1st for me today …a hornet mimic hoverfly - volucella zonaria
I bought this buddleia candy Lila sweetheart and would highly recommend , the amount of bees and hoverflys visiting it is amazing , it’s also attracted red admiral, painted lady,humming bird hawk moth 💜

Morning walk around ditton brook halebank
Wheatear, 2 yellow wagtails,6 yellow hammer, 2 whitethroat, lots of finches feeding on the sunflowers.
Juv mute swan,gadwall, coots, teal and moorhens on the brook .
Swallows and house martins .

Ringed plovers,black-tailed godwits , teal,shelduck,curlew,oystercatchers,redshank,peregrine and common sandpiper

I lost my mum almost 3 years ago now and have never been the same since , I just get up everyday and put one foot in front of the other and being out in nature has helped me alot

I felt like I’d won the lottery today 🤣😆
I’ve seen a few clouded yellow butterflies on my patch but none have landed until today ..so beautiful and especially in flight .

The house martins have started gathering on the sailing club roof on #patchbirding
2 shelduck families,curlew,redshank,
oystercatchers,1 whimbrel , 17 black-tailed godwits on shore .

Shame it’s out of focus 🤦‍♀️ one of the young lizard feeding

The reeds were alive with young Reed warblers on this mornings #patchbirding , 4 raven , 2 family’s of Cetti’s warblers , I caught a glimpse of 2 being fed
curlew,redshank, oystercatchers and a few little egret on the shore
2 tiny young lizard warming up in the sunshine

The Juv whinchat was still here on todays #patchbirding
Also Juv stonechats,Reed warblers and chiffchaff .
Just a few blackwits curlew oystercatchers and shelduck family on the shore .
3 of the young ravens where out n about together .

A couple of common lizard where basking in the sunshine on #patchbirding
Shelduck family doing well , lots of juveniles about ..whitethroat ,sedge Reed warblers, robins and think the stonechats have had another brood .

A lovely couple of hours around Speke hall pond and meadows
Little grebe young doing well ,moorhen &mallard chicks, 100’s of toadlets on the path
meadows alive with ringlet,meadow brown,red admiral,small copper,large and small skippers ,roesel’s bush cricket ladybirds,beetles

Yellow hammers,yellow wagtails, brown hares ,lots of young swallows and banded demoiselle on the brook .
