The Geologists' Association SchoolRocks! rocks and fossil boxes are supported by Reading Geological Society (RGS), the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and The Open University.

The SchoolRocks! Year 3 box. Each box contains child hand-sized specimens of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. There are also fossils, hand lenses and some small fossils or minerals to be given to the children. In fact, everything you need to teach the Rocks and Soils section of the National Curriculum Year 3 Science.

Even though life feels pretty chaotic right now, I try to carve out an hour in the morning just for myself, to focus on my health & go for a short hike. A screenshot of the "Add muted words and tags" interface in the iOS Bluesky app. The guidance text reads: "Posts can be muted based on their text, their tags, or both. We recommend avoiding common words that appear in many posts, since it can result in no posts being shown." There is a text field labelled "Enter a word or tag", a choice of four durations (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or Forever), a choice to mute the word in both text and tags or in tags only, and an option to exclude users you follow.

The word muting feature includes tags. You can specify whether to mute the word in tags alone, or in both. No wildcards, but it should still help. In the iOS app, you'll find it under Settings > Moderation > Muted words and tags; I imagine it's somewhere similar in other apps and on the website.

Garden Warbler was distant but sat still in a distant bush just long enough for a record shot.

Lesser Whitethroat was quite active feeding and seemed to favour this particular bush.

(Yes, that is a knock-off Labubu. He's so knock-off he doesn't even have joined arms/legs, which is a shame. But lookit the little dungarees!)
