It is hard to convey how awful it is in the US now. We are attacked, disappeared, murdered by our own government. Our leaders have little regard for human rights, or if they do, are afraid to stand up. We are not blind to the fear and chaos we cause to those outside the US. Sending love and hope.

In two hours, I will join friends for a 4th of July celebration. Like so many of us in the U.S., I do so out of a need to join w others who love this country deeply and, at the same time, who are horrified by the ways that our government is trampling on human rights. Have mercy.
