Integration by Substitution I always like using simpler integration by substitution examples to start of, things that students know how to integrate already that we can then use substitution to do before moving onto trickier …

I wrote a bit about it here! I always like doing reverse chain rule first and then showing how you can use substitutions after (like how you can use substitution to differentiate with chain rule although we usually teach it by some sort of INSIDE X OUTSIDE thing too)

Finishing up Quadratic Inequalities in #Mathstoday with some tricky compound questions

Honestly didn't think about it at time of writing but definitely led to good conversation today!

Came after us doing these together and discussing whether we could blend our quadratics with our trig inequalities...

Looky-likeys is such a good word for them - some of my favourite sets of questions to write!

We have a circle theorem that tells us that they must be right angled 😊 getting students to recognize that is part of the fun!
