A knitted hat with a green band in a grass-like pattern, then some ripples of a variegated blue, separated by thin navy bands. Finally the top is a solid light blue, grading into a darker blue. On this is sewn a pink flamingo feet in the grass and head near the top of the hat.

This was a commission for a 'Flamingo by the Shore' hat, but instead of by the shore, on a soccer pitch. It was knitted for a fan of the Flamingos soccer team in Madison, WI. 🧶🦉🐡

I wanted to do a native plants piece that would apply to more of the Eastern United States, and not just Florida. Here we have a Ruby-throated Hummingbird with Coral Honeysuckle, Partridge Pea, Pipevine Swallowtail with Butterfly Milkweed, Black-eyed Susan with Leafcutter Bee, and Spiderwort.
